sparrows have decided that my tube heater vent is a good place for a nest

I recall on Friday I heard these weird sounds coming from my roof and was convinced that there were Canada geese walking around up there.... then this morning I hear what sounds like scratching and figure it is coming from the exhaust pipe of the Tube heater. I asked someone to stand outside and keep watch while I grabbed a 20' aluminum bar and gently tapped the pipe.... Out flew the sparrow. I then noticed all the bits of debris on the ground for nest building. I have now turned off that heater and hope we don't get too many more cold days as I don't want Kentucky Fried sparrows stuck in my exhaust..... Next year I get a screen for the outlet.

just make sure you clean the vent otherwise you run the risk of fire with the build up of nest material
