Static Control PVC?

WI

So our shop opens up into an unheated warehouse. At this time of year, it is lip-chappingly dry in this place. On a related note, I was cleaning off a sheet of PVC for the flatbed the other day, and when I was flipping it over it reached out and bit me from six inches away (seriously) and the jolt was so back I could feel it in my fillings. Needless to say, that resulting print had just a touch of ghosting, and we haven't printed anything on a sheet of plastic since then, it's just too dry.

We've got some renovations slated for later this year, and an industrial scale humidifier is definitely something we're adding to the mix, but in the meantime we found someone selling something that claims to be "Static Control PVC." It's like a 33% markup over the regular stuff.

Anyone have any experience with this product?

ADDENDUM: To be clear, I am not looking for static management advice here. Do you, potential poster, know anything about Static Control PVC?
