I just got my brand new Roland VS-300I and so far I love it ! Since I make a lot of ATV graphics the sales man was nice enough to give me a blade for the think lamination .. Problem is I really never used a blade like this before and I''m not too sure of how to set it up .. Also notice it has a clip on it ?? Any advice would be great .

Thanks

I have a 300v -- and had issues getting enough pressure cutting the convex and the super thick laminate. Is the ring for shipping and tip protection?

I'm thinking the same-that the circlip was for transport protection of some kind.
We have a blade like that, made for thick sandblast mask.

Thanks for the help , I did contact the sales guy and he did confirm that the clip does need to be removed.

Info for other people :

Offset 1.00

The blade is a Roland ZEC-U3100

This 60° high performance blade is used for cutting the thickest materials.
It is excellent for use with sandblast, reflective and heavy floor laminate materials. The Roland part number ZEC-U3100 is compatible with all Roland vinyl cutters and printer/cutters.

PS , since its a brand new blade cutting 12mil laminate I will post back the force I used.

Thanks

Got my answer after a Google search, they are a SCAM. They ONLY except wire transfer for payment, so after you send the payment to them, you receive NOTHING, and have NO recourse and NEVER get you money back...

So stay clear of these people, like my father always told me, "If it sounds to good to be true, it most likely is"............

Yea, I'm with you... But maybe there are still people around the world that fall pray to these scumbags.

Years ago (before PayPal) a friend of mine ordered a laptop computer off ebay, sent the seller a MO (that's how it was done back then), he received a UPS tracking number and followed the package a few days then when delivered he opened the box and there was NO laptop, only two bricks tapped together with duct tape.

He was furious and called ebay and UPS, both parties said they could do nothing because the package was delivered as promised. Another friend ordered an Airsoft gun from Canada, this time after sending a MO, he never received anything from the seller, because Canada was outside the USA, ebay said they had NO control and could not anything about it.

I no things have changed and PayPal is the ONLY way I have paid for over 400 items on ebay, but you should NEVER ever pay with a MO or wire transfer, that's like giving a crook CASH - say good by to your money, cause you will never see it again.

The old Airsoft gun from Canada trick...

Yeppers, you guys had to green-backs some way!

True story when I worked at Dell Computers in 2000, my buddy never did re-cover his money. Just can't trust those Canadians ya know! (Not you Richard, you a good one).

Quit buggin' me
What year was that airsoft order?
I think prior to 2012 airsoft guns and pop tarts shaped like guns were illegal in Canada.
Maybe the Mounties got his gun......
