Suggestions for kiss cutting with a Zund I-Cut

I work at a company where we primarily make labels and decals. I am the supervisor for our digital department, and one of my pieces of equipment is a Zund M 1600 I-Cut machine. We have been having problems with getting deep die cuts, especially when kiss cutting. This occurs over the seam of the I-Cut belt. Does anyone else have this problem? It seems like the seam area almost always results in too deep of a die cut. I'd like to know if anyone has any suggestions on how to improve that area so that kiss cutting over the seam doesn't result in too deep die cuts. Thanks!

The problem is the area around the conveyor seem has a glue buildup. This is normal. The way around it is to you adjust the kiss cutting tool. What spring insert are you using and what depth is it set to on the tool itself?

We have found on both our cutters that if you are using the red spring insert (works best for self adhesive vinyl IMHO) you want three lines showing on the adjustment knob. See pic.

I meant to say what pressure setting do you have it set to, not depth. The adjustment knob on the KCT adjust for pressure not depth. Sorry.
