Summa D60 updates and communication

I was using an old computer with WinXP to communicate with my serial D60 plotter.

the computer has finally died, options are either build an "old" computer and continue running WinXP or build a new computer with a serial card and Win7

this is not the USB model of the D60

anyone else have this issue and what works with the old plotter? I remember it taking days to locate software to update Win98 to WinXP and some trial and error, I think I saved a copy, and I tried several serial to USB converters and no luck there

are there updates for Win7 I dont readily find anything maybe I'm not looking in the right places

I was/am using coreldraw 12 and some summa cutting software I downloaded, when on Win98 I used Co-cut but the version I have was not compatible to CD12 and XP

I used to have that awful problem. I had a Roland 24. From 2004. Xp only.
It was terribly restricted,. Roland never made another driver for it.

I got a new Summa d75. I still use Windows 7. Great machine for me.

I still got the Roland. It's for sale.
