I have a Summa F1612 that i cut a variety of materials on. But I've never cut through paper before. Easiest way for me to describe what I'm doing is printing posters onto rolls of paper (not adhesive backed or vinyl) and then cutting all the way through.
So far i'm having decent success using a double edge blade. However, sometimes this feels like overkill. And on some designs if i want to isolate one object and cut it out (so the shape is more intricate than a rectangle) the double edge blade struggles.
Should i be using a different type of blade?
If i can find the right blade I'd like to print and cut out packaging wraps for boxes. Same process as the posters. I'd be applying my own adhesive after they are cut out.
Thanks!
