Summa S2 T Series issues on long cuts

We have an S2 T series that we have been using for years with mainly no problems for the smaller cut jobs. For some reason I have a problem with jobs over 8' and it is hit or miss with being accurate. I did two 8' prints today and it cut perfect and then on the third it was off as soon as it started. It reads the marks no problem and the xy bar at the front and then it goes all the way to the back and is off as soon as it starts. After that I tried a 10' job that is only cutting text with a border so nothing complex and it did the same thing. I did a small 2' cut job after and it worked perfect. Does anyone else have these problems with longer cuts? I got this because the rep said summa was better for longer cut jobs but I can't seem to figure out why it is cutting off right away after it reads all the marks just fine.

What cutting software are you using for the contour cuts and have you already done a length and OPOS calibration?

We are cutting out of Flexi.
yes I have done the calibration. It worked on two 8' long cuts first and then two after that it wasn't working but I did another cut at the very end of the day that was not as long and it worked perfect so it is not an issue on every cut.

If you turn on paneling it will read the cut marks for each section. Instead of making one long 8' cut it will cut a section, re-read the marks and then cut again. It's slower but it will keep alignment.

thank you I will have to give that a try. Do I have to turn that on before I send the job to print or can I do that just when I send it to cut from Flexi?

Make sure you properly clean the grit rollers with a brush and some cleaner.

If you have had the machine for say 5 years, replace the pinch rollers as well.

One last thing is the drive belt could be skipping teeth but unlikely.

You can also reduce the acceleration G-force from cutter control. It can help with heavy pulls to reduce slipping.

Thank you I did clean everything but may need to look into replacing the rollers since we have had this for 5 years now.
