Need Help System 48 - X Y stepper motors not responding

I have a system 48 cnc-router ran via AR400 controller and all of a sudden BOTH X & Y stepper motors have stopped working, they try to move a little but only turn slightly it’s as though they are stuck but you can move the gantry freely ..any ideas anyone and thank you in advance

Could be a psu problem. Prob bad caps.. Are they getting warm?

Try disconnecting the cables from 1 and see if it moves freely. If you've got a mains detector pen, it can help see if there's ac ripple on dc lines
