The Bad Wrap

I have 3 questions I was wondering if I could pick your brains on.

1. I am new to wrapping so I dont have alot of experience but am trying my best to learn. I was wondering what everyone thought about the program "The Bad Wrap". Does it work, does it cut down on time like it says and is it worth the money. Or do you recommend another program.

2. Was also wondering do most people just buy the fills from like Aurora graphics or do most just design more or less their own backgrounds.

3. How did you learn photoshop. College class, book, instructional DVD, etc. I know some basics but would love to get into the more detailed to learn to wraps.

Bad Wrap has instructional videos on it that teaches you how to use it in Photoshop...but the more photoshop skills you have, the easier it will be for you.

i've never used the bad wrap but you can make your own templates or use vehicles outlines templates... the bad wrap seems like a good tool for showing your client a proof. its expensive for that use though.

and i have seen very few people put aurora fills to good use on a wrap, especially a wrap for business..... i have found the people interested in aurora style wraps for personal style vehicles are few and the ones that want those that can afford it in my area is zero.

lynda.com for $25 a month will get you access to all the photoshop tutorials you can handle.

beware of the bad wrap templates! you still MUST verify the measurements for ALL vehicles. We ended up reprinting half of a scion xb right after we got it, because half of the template files were from an 07 & half were from an 09...

Also, carefully compare the vehicles included, with vehicles that you may actually get to work with. I've found their selection to be VERY limited in terms of different cab/bed options on trucks.

I guess what I'm saying is, get ready to make your own templates over half the time, even if you spend the 1K on the bad wrap.

The Bad wrap,Bad Price !!! it doesnt have all the templates. stick with vehicle outlines. If you dont know the software that good its best you do before getting into wraps. you have to crawl before you run !!!! Spend your free time reading books.
