I ran a job for a customer who requested 30x 12" x 12" lot signs for new homes. Easy enough.... Ran the job and come Monday morning my receptionist says did you read this? It said 2 sets. I told her to call the guy because he verbally told me 30 pieces, and don't want to throw 30 out. Sure enough he forgot to mention that small detail to me.

In any case I had already finished printing and cutting the order and because they never order the same lot numbers twice felt no need to save it... no problem I still had the file in the production manager and resent it for print. Today I go to cut them up and there is no file in the production manager to do that. How can that be?

Wow thats too bad, its always best to get your customers to fax or email an order that way you always have backup. Your probably gonna have to eat that one

no... nothing to eat I just reprinted the file from production manager. What I cant understand is if I reprinted from production manager then the file was still there yesterday to print from, but this morning it is absolutely GONE!!!! for cutting purposes...it just blows!!!

Not a big deal as I just reimported the file and faked the printer out and then cut it anyways...... I just think that Flexi really acts weird at times. I mean I would have had to physically hit delete for that file not to be there and of course I did not.

could have been set up to "delete after print" - I have mine to always hold it after...just in case...(workflow tab of job properties in prod mgr)

yes this is true but if this had been the case why was it there yesterday to reprint the job?
Lately I dont trust the software....I think it's trying to make me go insane!!!!
