Foreign powers would be even more worried if they knew that among those 23 to 47 million hunters one of them drives a tractor and goes by the code name MOSH.

And how many of those hunters have numerous firearms?

America has more guns than anyone would ever know. I just found out after (someone I knew) passed that he had a stock pile of rifles, hand guns, grenades, military food ect... I't talking over 500+ guns. There are people that are just prepared for the worst. That letter is right on.

The numbers in that letter are only talking about the hunters which is a fraction of pie. i.e. gang members, police and everyone else that has at least one hand gun for protection.

Right now I have around 30 guns. It varies as I like to trade guns all the time.
The largest gun around here is a 50 cal, the bullets are $7 each and has travel of 5 miles. No I don't have one, my cousin Billy Creek has it.

I don't think I know a single person that owns only one gun.

I have mine scattered and almost always one on me.

I'm just trying to find a hunter's license here in PA that allows me to hunt with bazookas and hand grenades. I hafta make it look legal.

Anyone who hunts probably has atleast:
A large bore rifle for deer or antelope
A shotgun for turkey or upland birds
A smaller bore rifle (.17,.22,.223) for varmints or groundhogs

Many carry a side arm as well, especially when hunting bear.
Many would have a .22 revolver for plinking

Mosh might have a 50 calibur on the back of a large 8 wheeled farm implement just in case someone gives him lip...

According to a 2004 extensive gun ownership survey, the number of privately owned legal firearms in America was conservatively estimated to be in excess of 283 million. The U.S. population was approx. 292 million at that time. The average number of new firearms sales in America since 2004 is in excess of 4 million per year. The current U.S population of the U.S. is 308+ million. You do the math. It is conceivable that every person in America that is physically capable of firing a firearm could all do so at the same time with a firearm in each hand.

Wisconsin hunters

I am from Wisconsin and resemble that remark. What they didn't say was the mass quantities of alcohol that is consumed every year opening day of deer hunting ... We even have ATF convenience stores , you can gas up, buy a gun & ammo, get a twofour pack (8 pack if you drink corona like me) and some smokes all at the same place .. jR
