To do or not to do.. and what type of vinyl?!??!

Customer want to cover a 78 x 45 window with solid vinyl.
I remember hearing stories about solid covering of windows will crack them.

and if I should do it.. 651 or 751?

Then on top of the solid vinyl I'm going to do just die cut lettering.
thanks!

What kind of window is it (look inside the window, does it have the silver bar with a stitch type look)? What direction does it face?

Go over to tintdude.com and register on their forums. That would be a great place to find your answer. I used to tint car windows before I got into vinyl decals. Very helpful ppl there too.

If you are using a dark color you have a better chance of breaking the glass.
If the glass is dry set in metal or in a crappy wood frame, it could break if it has had any prior stressing or nicks in the edges.
If it is tempered and in a good binding, go for it.

With any glass flooding (covering w/ vinyl) goes a caveat to the owner/tenet that they are responsible for the outcome, good or bad.

I've done plenty of them in central FL. The only ones that seem to break are on old buildings or absurdly large panes.
