CNN has live footage of tractor trailers being tossed around like toys. Hope all area members are safe.

I'm in the N. Dallas area, and we had lots of sirens going off, but no real damage at the shop and only some pea sized hail. Wife said sirens and about the same weather at home (a little further north).

Definitely looks like some good damage around the metroplex though.

Try ALL AROUND the metroplex! Those 18 wheeler trailers flying a hundred feet in the air like toys was cool. I was watching the continuous coverage of it on the news when my satellite went out because of the storm. Soon afterwards the wind began to howl louder and louder. Few houses in Texas have basements... I began thinking about dragging a mattress into the bathroom and covering up with it in the tub. Since the tornadoes were all around, with the tv out I had no way of knowing if they were in my area. The satellite came back up and I rode it out on the couch - nothing happened close by here, but a few neighborhoods where people I know live got hit hard. Amazing thing is there were no fatalities.

Heavy rain and hail came thru here about 1:15.. Luckily we had no damage..

I was actually driving to Burleson to survey a bank at about 1:00 and had to pull over under an overpass due to the hail. It cleared up and I drove the rest of the way and then part way through the survey, it POURED. It let up after about 30-45 minutes and I was able to finish the survey, thankfully.

Some good friends of ours in the Mesquite area were in their house and it was totally destroyed from what my wife said. Fortunately they're safe. The sad thing is the family moved here due to losing their home in Hurricane Katrina.

This is our friends house. Fortunately, they made it through it safely. They were in the house when all of this happened.

Glad to hear everyone here is safe. I live in Crittenden, KY where the tornadoes came through a month ago. Many were not that lucky here... Fortunately the tornado stayed up on top of the hill (my house is in the valley) 3 houses to either side of mine everything was wiped flat. My installers' houses were both heavily damaged, they live about 3and 5 miles away in different directions.
