Translucent vinyl lifting around panel edges

We installed translucent vinyl on new lexan panels about 6 months ago and noticed recently that the vinyl is bubbling up and lifting around the edges on the panels. We used Orafal's 8500 series translucent vinyl, wet installed the vinyl on the panels and trimmed the edges back about 1/4". The panels sat in our facility for about a week before they were installed on the lightbox. What would cause the vinyl to bubble up and lift around the edges shown in the pictures?

It appears the retainer angle may be causing it as it looks like its being pulled in one direction. Perhaps its due to thermal expansion and contraction of the plastic vs aluminum? Or when they cranked down the screws it pulled on the vinyl?
