Trump + Sign = TASTELESS

Looks fine to me, and if they permitted it (AND it was made and installed exactly according to the permit), Trump should tell them to pound sand.

I think it's just fine, yes it's big and maybe a little much, that's just how Donald rolls.

The bigger question I have is when will big government stop sticking their nose in our business, next thing you know, they will be telling you have to sell your team, oh wait they are already are doing that. You can fine someone for bad conduct, but you can't (shouldn't) tell them they have to sell something they own. That would be like when you get a speeding ticket, you pay the fine and then the judge makes you sell your car (not right).

I think it's time to fight back, you know like the Boston Tea Party on the night of December 16, 1773.

It is alternatively nice to go outside and not have giant signs, billboards, jumbo led screens etc. ramming corporate consumerism down your throat. It is time to stand up and shout "Back off corporations!"

So big, shiny, glass clad, multi-story corporate office buildings are ok as long as they don't have signs on them?

Yup a vendetta against Trump or the rich, besides who cares what Trump does unless it concerns your pocket book, who cares what Chicago does unless it concerns your pocket book.

Further more if Chicago does not want signs in places that you see them on big buildings ...Then they should have made laws.

Our leaders in government have nothing better to do then create there own ideal of viewing pleasure, this seems to be a bigger concern then safety, education, jobs, housing, & honest leadership which by the way is the 5 priorities of any human, family, government in that order to which it seems most government officials forget once they get elected.

If I spent that much money putting up a building, you can be sure my brand was on it... And I didn't think it looked out of place at all. Trump can be an egotistical azz, but he has a knack for making money!

Trump is the target du jour. They don't like his sign, but they sure like his money. I wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Sjoquist.

They say it's tasteless because it's his name... I say if you fork over $685+ million to tear down an old building complex and build a new state of the art building you deserve to have your name in gold. Sorry if a lot of Americans are only Capitalists when it's convenient, but more power to the people who can build an empire in this ages regulations.

They approved it, it looks good...it's just politics. If they want to see ugly...come look at all the yard signs plastered all over my city. I'd take this any day over the crap I see around here.

Living in the Chicagoland suburbs and this being one of the top stories on the news lately...personally, I like it! It's not overdone and complements the building nicely. I think Mayor Rahm needs to spend a little less time worrying about what Donald does with his own building and worry a little bit more about the crime rate in the City of Chicago. The murders you hear about on the news everyday by gangbangers is what makes the City of Chicago look bad, not the letters on a building.

as much as it kills me to defend Trump it is to the scale of the building and fits into the band nicely.
