TV and Movie Remakes

I normally don't care for them. The one I really wanted to see was The Mod Squad which didn't even keep the theme song and only was the same in name. I dumped it in 5 mins.

But, Hawaii 5-0 is more true to the theme but 'with the times' of a lot of blood and guts (and sex with the 'take off the dress' part in the first show) and the theme song and intro video.

I am waiting for that big ass Lincoln going through downtown Honolulu with no traffic (fat chance of reality in that one) but it is entertaining at that.

Anyone else following this one?

I didn't know Mod Squad had a theme..haha but I'm sure if i saw an original show now I'd think " what the hell would these dopey school kids know?? " ...all be teen angst i reckon

H50 was a bit of a surprise for remake... gee when the original was on,
mobile phones were bigger than briefcases & cost more than a car

A-Team movie... with no Mr T.

Knight Rider comeback... nice try but didn't bite.

heck even Beverly Hills 90210 & Melrose Place, what's happening - them TV writers
so totally out of new ideas that they've gotta mine the dregs of the dog pit?
Gee maybe they should've all stayed on strike.

Was that really a Merc? Looked like a big @$$ Lincoln to me. I gotta look at old vids to be sure but the traffic part I am sure of. They have stayed out of the Waikiki and Honolulu area in the show so no complaints. Just a lot of shoot-em-up so far but building a team/story line. Hope it doesn't take too long.

The last one I really liked was Las Vegas. James Caan made me come back to that one every week. Well, the she-ras too, but the intro was great as well as the story line. It kind of fell apart in the end but while it was going it was good for me.

Last chance for 5-0. If they go 3 weeks in a row with using a spy satellite to solve a crime I am out. After all, this is a drama, not sci-fi.
