using eco-solvent/solvent printers to print business cards

They make special printers set up to produce business cards. You can print business card sized adhesive labels or magnets on a solvent machine but that's as far as i would go. For the magnets i would print, then mount to magnet then trim.

Get a wholesale account with a company that produces cards, Easier and more profitable.

Not feasible at all.

Absolutely No. You can buy an offset press for $ .02 but it takes skill to run one. If you are just looking for process color / glossy paper type stuff you should be outsourcing them to a color house as they can do it cheaper.
