using the cut feature and the material it rolls out before the cut

When i am at the end of a print and i go to hold the cut button to cut the media is there a way to adjust the amount of material it spools out before it cuts. Mine spools out about 5 inches then cuts it off. It is a pain when i am by myself to try and cut it alone by hand manually. Just seems as this would be nice to be able to cut right at the edge of a print and it not spit out 4 inches of wasted material for no reason. When i am doing a print cut image it is fine as i need a couple extra inches on the back.

Anyone have any ideas? Its seems as if it cuts about a 1/2 inch past where it stopped printing or at the end of the design if you do not use the arrow keys on the printer to move the media. If you move the media it seems as it cuts around 4 inches. Anyone know of a way to adjust this if any?

Your worried about 4" of material? Charge it to the customer if it matters. I usually have almost 2' of wasted material when I print a single job and my customer pays for that

Exactly you don't quote a job for materials provided you quote a job for materials used to produce the materials provided. Waste that gets thrown straight in the trash should be included in that. I agree saving some extra will help lower costs. But it's so minimal that you are probably wasting more money talking about it.

54" x 4" is 1.5 sq ft. So For basic calendared vinyl, that's $0.45 of material wasted. Add a buck to your quote and forget about it.

I am the least bit worried about the cost of the material. I am just curious about changing the cut amount or of there is a way to. This is more of a knowledge question and being curious more than it is about cost or $. Sorry if the original question was misleading.
