UV and sublimation

Just wondering if anyone can help me with a couple of questions.
What medium is used to transport UV ink. Is it water based, a very mild solvent or something else. The HP 5000/5500 has a conversion avaliable but has new ink tubes and heads to replace the dye ones fitted as standard so was wondering why the original ink transport / heads cant be used.
If anyone owns one of these printers could they give an opinion on their quality/use etc and how the inks are dried as I dont believe there is any UV curing supplied with the conversion kit.
Also, can any printer run sublimation inks as there are lots of desktop printers with bulk ink conversions. I know it would require a RIP for a large format if you added 3rd party inks but am more concerned with the physical practicalities - heads etc.
Cheers

Doh

Just found that the uv ink as HP call it is actually aqueous pigment ink. So that leaves the question of can any printer print with true UV ink.

The HP 5000 / 5500 series only run traditional aqueous dye or pigment inks. It is not and cannot be converted to a UV-curing printer.
