Printer was working fine using normal ink cartridges on 2.01 firmware
What I did to break it is
I ordered 4 refillable ink cartridges and 4 smart cards and cmyk borderux 1L containers
They came via fedex today so I filled the ink cartridges installed the smart cards and replaced the normal cartridge in the printer with the new refillable ones.
The printer accepted the new cartridges with no problems at all.
Did some test prints to see how it was and as soon as the old ink in the lines ran out and the new ink was being used in the print head it started to get faint and wavy.
I did a nozzle check no y at all and cmk were very bad.
I did a cleaning it did not help
I soaked the head in the capping station it did not help
Did more nozzle checks it had gotten worse.
I did put in the cleaning cartridges in the printer thinking I would just go back the normal ink. Printer started the flush and the cleaning cartridges ran out of fluid. (dam )
Did some research decided I would look at the head and lines.
I removed the Dampers and they where not plugged I then removed the head and flushed it by drawing cleaning fluid through it.
I put it back together and now it wont print anything it does the print job with no errors but does not lay any ink down.
I checked the capping station and evac lines they are not plugged.
When I do a cleaning I don't see any ink going through the evac lines as if its not sucking the ink to the head.
I also can see air bubbles in the cmyk lines and they don't move so I sure for some reason its not getting ink to the head.
Reinstalled the orig cartridges and sill did not help.
Any help would be appreciated
Ps I unhooked the lines from the Dampers and was able to draw ink from the lines. (which I assume means the cmyk lines and the cartridges are fine)
