Valuejet 1324 ink cartride code error

Hi,

We just updated from an Falcon Outdoor JR to a Valuejet1324! We have ink cartridges that were more than half full from the old machine that we would just stick silver stickers over the chip card to make work in the Falcon. I am trying to use these cartridges in the new machine (valuejet 1324) and am getting an error
[M]s/c codeerr.

We did get new chip cards from our supplier to make these cartridges work, I have like $100-$200 of ink sitting here that I want to use and not through away any ideas?

Are the chips positioned exactly right? There's a tech bulletin on the Mutoh site that discusses smart chip placement you may want to check.
