The tech manual has the replacement instructions in it. I can't give that out here but there are threads that have it available.
TIPS:
- Use a magnetized screw driver. Some of the screws are far back and will fall down into no man's land if it is not magnetized.
- The pump's power cable (gray) has a female/female connector between the pump cable and the cable that goes to the main board. If you run into an issue where the cables don't look like they will connect, you most likely forgot to take the connector off the old pump cable. I run into this a lot.
- Another thing people forget is the wiper sensor cable on the right side of the maintenance station. If you don't plug it in, it will give you errors. It's the harder of the cables to plug in. I use tweezers or forceps to install it as it is small and your hands won't fit back there.
- Take a picture of the maintenance station before you uninstall it. This will allow you to see what it should look like when installing the new one.
- There are no adjustments you can do to the maintenance station as far as position goes. If you can get the screws in the proper places, it should be in the correct position. If the screws don't match up, something is not in the proper place.
- Wet the cap top with cleaning solution before running a fill up or cleaning. This helps it start out right. Sometimes dry caps can take a few cycles before they start to seal.
- Make sure the waste tubes go as straight down as possible to the waste tank. If ink has to curve back up to get to the waste tank it can get stuck, dry and clog. Sometimes this means cutting the tubes to fit better. Just be careful not to cut them too short so they don't connect properly.
EDIT to ADD: - Turn the machine off and unplug it before you do anything!
Good Luck!
