ValueJet 1614 bidirectional problem

My ValueJet 1614 printer head has been replaced last summer. The bi-directional printing quality is poor, one-way printing is good. I tried several profiles , but the same result.
The machine has been set, the print head tilt, slant and height. What could be the problem?

(Bidirectional = left, uni = right)

Thank you.

The valuejets have a bi-di adjustment for each media setting you have. As I dont have a 1614 I can't say exactly how to get there but it should be something like "Menu" --> "Setup" --> "Media Type 1 (or whatever you want up to 30)" --> "Print Adjust"

While you can set the main uni and bi adjustment in the maintenance menu you can make this adjustment for each media type you may be using. I have seen these adjustments go haywire multiple times for no apparent reason and have to readjust. Just a thought.

Yes you can set the adjustment up in the main menus.
But most RIPs bypass the media settings (unless set not to) so using this to set up the adjustment will not work.
Is your print test perfect as even with a couple of blocked nozzles on a bi-directional low resolution print you will get this.
