The Valuejet Status Monitor (VSM) is not the same as the Service Assistant (MSA). The VSM is driven for end users, checking ink status and error messages from your desk and also the new ColorVerify feature and firmware updates. The MSA is driven for technicians. The VSM is only available for the newest models, VJ-1324, 1624, 1638 and 1608HS.
