Versalift Boom Controller

I am looking to get a new versalift boom controller for my boom. I replaced all my lines and still having problems. Was about 30 feet in air and one of the hoses just went, BOOM! Not fun... Any thoughts, and where is the best place to get decent parts for least expensive money?

We did them. We observed how they were done and we did them. This is just the hoses that go to the controller. They will not be weight bearing if they break. Othere hoses i would not touch...

See this? That's what a burst hydraulic hose will do. From standing still to fully involved in less than 3 minutes. Truck was a total waste, only the generator and bucket made it. Fire co put a full truck of foam on it. Hot hydraulic fluid burns like crazy. Dont F around.

Versalift parts come from versalift... http://www.versalift.com The control is just a bunch of 20 amp momentary switches though. I wouldn't necessarily relate switches to blown hoses.

Now if you mean you plan to replace the valve body... thats gonna be salty.

Wow Rick. I remember you told me about that but I never saw the pic. Your guy is lucky he got away from that.

My welder guy used to work for JLG, testing new lifts off the production line. He said they had an engine fire once and he got stuck up in the basket at 40' while the other guys emptied several extenguishers on it down below.

You need a professional to look at your lift. Versalift is really a very simple setup, a series of magnets on valves controlled by momentary switches at the bucket. If one or more of the valves don't open or close correctly you can get excess pressure on a hose. It's really a simple process for a trained mechanic to troubleshoot and worth the $100 or $200 to diagnose. Don't take a chance from 30' above the ground.
