Versaworks and windows 7

I have a problem with my versaworks...Hopefully somebody else has experienced this????
Problem is I can rip my graphic (14 ft long most of the time) and start to print...Remember the graphic has already been ripped....It will start printing and if im not active on the computer, my pc will eventually go to a black screen (don't know if its screen saver or sleep mode???). If I don't hit the key board or the something to get the screen back up the print will eventually stop...and i can't get it to start back up without restarting the whole print....

Its happened a couple of times, it timed out, when i pull windows back up it will say the job is done and printed (check mark beside it), but its only printed to where it timed out???? And the printer will say "now processing"???? Any suggestions???

If you can find your screen saver settings in Windows 7 (right click on desktop and Personalize, i think), then you should be able to access your power settings. Change when the computer sleeps to never, that way if you DO want the computer to sleep, you can do it through the start menu. You can choose to turn the display off in order to save power, but if you're running a printer off a machine, it should NEVER go to sleep on its own.

If it makes you feel better, I learned this lesson the hard way today also. Translucent. New computer... at the very end after 45 minutes stops. All of my computers are set to never sleep so it never occurred to me with this new one. I am learning all of my lessons the expensive way.

I changed it by going to Control Panel>Power Options>Change Sleep settings. I put everything on never. It did solve it.

Thanks to all here. I just got my new VS-640 set up today including VersaWorks on a Windows 7 PC... Time to eliminate that pesky sleep mode. :rock-n-roll:
