Versaworks locking up

Just curious if anyone else is having an issue with Job Settings freezing when
you click the OK button?

I have to shut it down and start it over and over.
Frustrating to say the least

Seems like this was discussed here before.

Any fixes?

Ours lags for a second but comes through.

Have you tried to "re-initialize" versa works?? You'll lose your info but it's worth a try.

The printer you are running has a great deal to do with it. We run an older SP540, and had all kinds of crashes and failures in VW The fix? We went back to the last viable SP540 update and shut off auto update.

If you are running a "vintage" printer auto-update will wreak havoc with your system.

our sp300 converted to sp300v runs latest version of vw no problem. I'd say reinitialize the app and see if that helps.

I knew that it had been discussed here before.

After reading the thread from '09, I did not see a definitive solution given.

I'll try reducing the jobs in queue as well as the optimization.

At this point you might as well try a fresh install of versaworks, make sure you have newest up-to-date firmware on the printer itself, possibly try reinstalling USB drivers for your printer if you have them. If that doesn't work, you got problems :)
