Very proud of my wife today!

A year ago my wife lost her father due to a heart attack brought on as a result of chemotherapy from cancer. A few weeks ago she decided she was going to shave her head to raise money for cancer research.

She set a goal of $1000 and within a few hours she had reached it, she ended up raising over $4000 in the end.

I was put in charge of the clippers, how many guys can say their wife let them shave her head!

Chemo killed my Dad 2 summers ago. 48 hours after his first treatment he was in the hospital. 3 weeks later they let us take him home for another 2 weeks of the hardest time of my life. My buddy, my go to installer helper. They gave him 78% chance, unfortunately 22 out of 100 have to make up the bad part of that statistic.

I thought I would do something after he was gone but I only did my best to try to not let it bring me down. Hats off to your wife for following through. I bet he is so proud of her. Great story, thanks for posting.

Your wife is beautiful - inside and out.

She looks great with the shaved hair. What a way to honor her dad!

:notworthy: I don't know who is the proudest one here..... you for marrying such a wonderful and giving person..... or her Dad for having such a wonderful daughter.

That takes guts for anyone to do. My best to her for making such an honorable decision and sticking to it.

You're a very lucky person. :thumb:

That was very nice of her to keep her father in her memory and to help others.

It looks like you have a backup plan if your sign shop fails "Watson hair shavers":)
