VG3 Color Profile

we recently got a VG3 64 setup as CMYKlmlclkOr machine and are having issues getting the colors right coming out like they suppose to
we have tried default like roland suggested but then downloaded profiles (3Mprofile but doesnt say it uses Orange) from the roland website which got it closer but still a little off
the reds is the biggest thing they are dull looking slightly kinda pinkish
we then went directly to 3m website and got profiles which actually use the orange colors and most colors are close except the reds they are coming out way orange
i tried to "edit the profile but it made 0 difference so i dont know what im doing and Roland isnt help
same issue with Arlon we use their profile(which does use orange) to match our vinyl but if its yellow or red it comes out way too orange

what profiles are yall using or can anyone tell me how to edit a profile? i think if i can edit the 3M orange profile to reduce how much orange its giving will work
we print on multiple machines so we need to keep color consistent within reason in our shop

On the VG2 with CMYKlclmlkO we just use "Generic Vinyl 1" to get the brightest reds but its not the same on VG3...
I went with CMMYKlkOG inkset on my VG3 which I like but find it has the fewest available profiles...
I found a 3M profile but it had problems printing nice black, then used Arlon profile for a while with good colors but a visible dithered pattern on light colors...
Anyways, then another user on here pointed me towards Rolands own
Roland DGA PCV4: Premium Cast Vinyl profile
Seems to have the brightest colors I could find with good ink coverage...being rolands own profiles meant they had a profile for my inkset/material when 3M didn't...
We are still using "True Rich Color 2" Color Management Preset and just noticed that they have updated it to include "True Rich Color 3, True Rich Color Bright Vivid" and a several others which might also be worth a try...

Your problem sounds like your orange is demixed. Orange is almost as bad as white, in terms of demixing.(if you don't shake the cartridges regularily, this will happen)
There are alternative media libraries not using orange, but you need to activate them first, because they are hidden by default.

I have been running 7 color on mine. (M,C,Y,Or,Lk,M,Gr,K) Sometimes, I found Flexi, I had to drop my 255 Red down to 210 and it became brighter. I pulled profiles directly from Roland.

As all these icc profiles are a base point, and all machines are slightly different, only other thing is to invest in a X-Rite and create your own profiles for your machine.
