Vinyl Lettering on Kona 1650

I have a 4 month old kona and have only been doing print & cuts.

I want to just cut out vinyl lettering with out sending it to the printer anyone know of any software or plug-ins that can help me do that?

Im using adobe illustrator and onyx postershop as of right now.

How are you contour cutting your prints now? Through the Mutoh software? It should be integrated already with your Illustrator; you should be able to set your lettering, select it and process it through the plug-in just like you would be contour cutting. Or am I missing something?

I'm not sure but will Mutoh's Cut server program do that? It might be for just Contour cutting also.

They also had a program called CutExpress that was a stand alone driver for Corel and Adobe. It was used with the Ultima Cutters. The Kona is the next generation of them. Maybe something like that is available for the Kona.

By the way how do you like it so far? Did you buy it new?

Yeah bought it new with a vj1624 they go hand in hand. Our production times are unreal, and the cut through feature is awesome. Everything just works
