Vinyl - wood application

Hi: We have our first wall application - It's a wood wall that has been stained. I'm wondering if Oracal 651 is going to be my best bet or if I should go to a High Tack? We live in an area that get a lot of snow/rain and ice - it's an outside wall... doing my best to avoid vinyl fail by end of winter... or is this a stupid endeavor? Help.

Most stains don't cater to having vinyl of any sort being adhered to it. Most real stains have an oily residue left behind to help repel water, moisture and other things. Even a solid color stain won't work...... anyway, not for very long.

Sounds like a formula for failure. You could research some of the vinyls made for exterior brick/concrete applications, they may work.
