why is my vj 1204 printing not reading black cleaning cartridge. when i change it around the yellow not readying. How to get the machine to read them?

I am struggling to understand.
If I remember you can plug any cleaning cartridge into any slot they are not colour defined.
If the cartridge is not being read the reason maybe that the chip on the cartridge is broken.
In my opinion the only reason to use the cleaning cartridges is to flush the machine for long storage is this what you are doing?

yes i am cause i clear the lines as the machine was put down for a very long time so wanted to see if the solution would run through the lines after i clear them. The head i try to clean but i have a new head on order.

If the machine has been left for a long time and did not have the cleaning cartridges left in the head is clogged and is unserviceable.
Fit a new print head, head cable and complete maintenance and provided it was running prior to the machine being last used this should get you up and printing again.
