VJ 1204 Not printing at all

Hi Guys, i have a huge problem, My VJ1204 is not printing at all, nothing is coming out of the head, i have read thru all the posts here and basically, the dampers are fine and the capping station is also sucking properly.

I did the suggested trick of sucking from the pipes under the capping station using a syringe and the ink is flowing out.
To go back to where the problem started i had removed the head to clean the head assembly as after printing several hundred meters of banner there was a lot of fuzz stuck around the head and the assembly which was not coming out with normal cleaning and my prints had streaks in them.

When i returned the head i started getting a Head heat error, after going thru the forums i decided to make sure the ribbon cables were placed properly after which the error stopped. But now although everything seems fine the head is not firing at all.

Having gone thru the forums i have the following theories,

Either the Head Fuses are gone in which case i need to know where they are located and how to test them to see if they are functioning,

Or the Mainboard has a problem in which case i am screwed!!!!

Any help you guys may be able to offer will be highly appreciated, also i urgently need the Service manual for this Machine.

There are 5 head fuses on the VJ-1204 Mainboard, marked as F1 to F5. You can find them near the side of the black heat sinks. When the head is not printing at all, usually F2 is blown but sometimes, it could be due the other fuses as well. If any fuse is blown, you may need to replace the head as it is the one causing the fuse(s) to blow.

The mainboard needs to be taken out of the printer in order to test the fuses. Only technicians experienced in component level should attempt to replace the fuses. This because the fuses are all soldered onto the mainboard. If you can not replace the fuses, the entire mainboard needs to be replaced.

Henryp thanks for all the help, I have managed to remove the mainboard and it seems the F2 fuse is indeed blown but all the other fuses seem fine, could you please tell me what type of fuse this is as in the amps or any other rating. Also is this a special fuse and where can I get it.

750mA

Henryp it seems we cant get that kind of fuse locally. The tech guy suggests we buy the same rating 25mm fuse and remove the fuse wire to solder it onto the existing fuse. i am a bid skeptical to that idea, do you think that can work, what alternate suggestion can you give me. thanks for all the help
