Looking for anyone who prints wraps and or decals with this printer. Looking for a reference to what material you use when doing this type of work. I know it would be different material for wraps as it does in stickers and the wrap material can vary depending on the application but i am looking for a material to use as my first purchase. That and if you have a specific profile you use with this material for the 1324 printer.

Now with that being said this printer has been setting for about 3 months so i know i will have to do a lot of cleaning since it has been setting so going to try and get it hooked up so i can see where i need to start with that.

Thanks

If you ask 10 people what material they use and which profile, you will get 10 different answers. For car wraps, you will use a cast vinyl, most likely with air egress and re-positional adhesive, and also laminate with a cast laminate. For decals, use a calendared vinyl. There are many brands, finishes and thicknesses and just as many opinions about how well they work. The best way to find out for yourself is to order samples and use trial and error. What works well for one person doesn't always for someone else. I know people who swear by Arlon products and people using the same machine and inks say it's crap. 3M has a good fan base but there are people who have had bad experiences with them too and do not use them at all. Of course price is a key factor in a making these decisions.

It's the same way with profiles. Not 1 profile works the same for everyone in different environments. You will need to try out a bunch of profiles to see which one works best for your needs or pay to have custom profiles made. Custom profiles are worth it if you absolutely need to mach certain colors and/or have multiple machines you want to make sure the colors match. I have found that most people find a boxed profile that works and uses that for everything.

I figured it would be a trial and error type deal on my end but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask thought someone might accidentally be running the same setup i am.

Thanks
