i was printing a job and it was missing yellow, so i did a nozzle test and one channel of yellow didn't print. so i check the damper and it was empty so i pull with the syringe and it came into the damper, set back up and it clean now all the colours are missing. I did cleans and still nothing. I change the cap top to a new cap top and still nothing. I was trying to see if the head is sitting on the cap top but can't see if it is . Any ideas?

DIY Printer Fixing Guide
If you were printing all colors before you pulled ink into the damper and now it prints absolutely nothing, you may have blown the head fuse. If you didn't unplug the machine and the head cable was nudged or ink got on it, it will shot out and blow the fuse. Sometimes even if the machine was unplugged it will do this because the capacitors are not discharged for about 15 minutes after the machine is unplugged.

One way to test this would be to run a cleaning cycle and watch the waste tubes. If ink comes out and you still aren;t able to print, it;s the fuse. If ink doesn't come out, it could be maintenance station issues.

If you have a extra head(new) like you should if you own a printer, I would switch it out and see if the other head prints, or even a old head to see if any color prints from it, that's where I would start at.

I change the maintenance assembly and no ink comes down. That mean it could be the head fuse? is there something i can try to know that ink is coming through the head? i try to pull with 2 syringe from the black lines on the cap top but i am not getting ink coming in .

The ink should be able to be pulled through whether the fuse is blown or not.

Is their plenty ink in the machine? I know this sounds unbelievable but that's were I would start!
It might be reading their is plenty ink but the 1204s do not have a sub tank like the bigger machines and need to have the ink changed as soon as it asks for ink.

I do not want to offer any more advise until you check their is ink in the machine and it is at the dampers.
