After 5 years we have now paid of our VJ1604.
But in reallity it was paid for in the first 3 months of ownership!
In the life times menu list it reads:-
Head ****
Pump *****
CR Motor ****
PF Motor ****
It has about 5 Cyan nozzles out and 1-2 Black ones.
The Magenta and Yellow are fully functioning still !!
It has had one head docking station fitted, a couple of repairs to the pipe work from the pump and a couple of head wipers.
Also adding a little cleaning/flushing fluid keeps the pump and pipework running sweet and block free.
I have learnt loads maintaining this printer and believe if I knew then what I know now. Either a lot less or no nozzles would be dead.
I truly believe that when it was installed we had better info on maintenance the machine would still print as out of the box.
Saying this even now I cannot bring myself to replace the head as I have seen some shops prints and they must have 4 times the amount of nozzles out than me and are classing these as quality prints.
So now the question what do I get now or what do I repair on our old VJ1604?
Stunning machine and most definitley the most reliable/cheapest printer I have ever owned (desktops included!!)
