VP -540 head hesitates before passes

Hi, yesterday we started to print some graphics and the machine was printing fine and all of a sudden it started to hesitate, make a pass, hesitate. Shut the machine down for the night and ran different stuff this morning and it was fine,until we started the next job( not the same one as last night) and it started to hesitate, run good for a few passes and hesitate again.
Anyone had that problem and if so what was it or what did you do

It's almost always either a failure in the network or you are using the RIP while printing function and the file size is too big to process fast enough. Are you hooked up to the printer directly to the computer or through a network?

In that case, change the cable for a new one to see if that fixes the issue. If not, you could have a bad Ethernet card in your computer or on the printer(rare in my experience). If you have another computer you can send a file from, that would tell you if the computer is messing up. If you can rule out computer and network issues, you may have some main board issues in the printer itself. But don't worry, it's almost always a network issue. Have you installed any new software or anti virus lately?
