I am curious about the VP540i. Could you give me your thoughts/reviews/recommendations on the VP540i /VP300i machines please?

Are they easy to maintain?
Reliable?
Have you had any repair or design issues?

How do they compare to the newer printers?

Thanks

We ran a VP540 hard for 5 years and it was rock solid. Replaced one cyan head in that time and cleaned no more often than every two weeks... I
would say that every four weeks was more average. The shot counts and hours were enormous when we sold it for almost half of the new price.
We used Triangle mild ink from day and it made a lot of money. I had a lot of spares on hand because it had so many miles but almost all went with
the machine when sold- I think I replaced the linear scale twice and the scan motor toward the end of our relationship. I considered looking for a
low mileage unit and running both till the end of (my) time but we are out of space and I ended with a new RF640 which is also doing very well. Gene
