Vutek Fiery RIP

I have some files that i am trying to print, the saved files are around 857KB yet once they are ripped, after an amount of time they are 4,771,508KB,
after a short time printing the printer stops then an error message comes up saying there is not enough data in the file, does anyone have any idea why the artwork is ripping so large?

No matter, how small the input file is, the output file gets large, depending on the output size, resolution, dot sizes and so on.
The RTL format knows compression, but it's lossless and not as high as in jpeg, so the compression factor depends on the image printed.

Thanks Cornholio, its very strange as the artwork is a simple black box with text in it!
