Want to apply wrap on truck stone guard border (siliconized maybe?)

We need to do a partial flat wrap on a bus that has a 10” approx lightly textured stone guard border on the bottom edge where part of the wrap should go. It seems to be siliconized or some other slick material and it doesn’t seem like any adhesive material would stay on.
Any of you encountered this? Would there be some kind of primer or other product to assure adhesion?
