Waste Fluid Box Replacement

I came in to work this morning and my 1204 reads "Near Full Waste Ink Tank".

What is the best way to drain the Waste Fluid Box since it has the pads in it?

I tried just draining it but that only yielded about 1/2" in the bottom of a 16 OZ. water bottle.

According to the Manual the entire thing needs to be thrown away and replaced with a brand new one.

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

If the felt pads are soaked, throw them away, clean the tray and replace with new. Or, go to the dollar store and buy some maxi pads.
