Well OK...here's a stupid question...

First of all, I did a search in the Mutoh forum for "bi directional" printing, got 78 hits, none of them helped me. I have a Mutoh Outdoor 62 that I bought in January. I put in new print heads, pump, capping station, and dampers. Printer prints like a champ but I don't know how to set it for bi directional printing. I looked in the users and service manuals. The only thing I thought had anything to do with it was in the Centronics part of the menu and it is already set to bi. Any ideas? Thanks, David

I don't understand the problem. If the Centronics say's it's set to 'bi', why don't you believe it? Can you see it laying ink in both directions or not?

I have Flexi 8.1 and I don't know how to set bi directional printing using that...and no, it is not printing both ways. I have something running now and I looked with my magnifier to verify.

you don't use a magnifier to see it's in bi. hell, you can hear the difference. do a test file in one pass or two pass, it will be very obvious if you are laying down ink going right vs/ just left.
