What did ND do or not do?

Well, when they opened warehouse close to our city here in Saskatchewan, they were pushing all local shops to buy from them. They were acting like we are big shots and you sort of have to buy from us. Ordered bundle of 180cv3 couple years ago, they wanted to charge me $69 for delivery (their warehouse is 130km away from me) delivering with Purolator. Also, tried to charge me $5 fuel surcharge. Called them and asked why da F i have to pay $69 dollars for shipping when i pay $12-$20 flat rate from other suppliers. Was told that thats the way it is. After that i asked them if Purolator picks up all their stuff, they said yes.... My next question was why do you charge fuel surcharge? Silence... the answer was: "Oh, its in the system and it adds atomatically"

Wanted to cancel the order but they called me and offered free shipping (ONE TIME FREE SHIPPING WOW!) and cancel fuel surcharge. That was the first & last time i bought anything from them..

Using WRI Supply for 3M stuff & couple other suppliers for anything else. Happy.

Yup, pretty much sums it up, gas it the cheapest it's been in years but there is still a $5 fuel surcharge, even when I told them to put it on my purolator account.

Also the CONSTANT bartering and haggling you need to do with them, most other suppliers offer you a certain % off retail pricing across the board, but ND does it on a per item basis, so if you get 30% off retail on 3mIJ40, you don't automatically get 30% off retail for IJ35, you have to call and talk to your sales rep, and hope they are in a generous mood.

nope they only things I order from ND are certain supplies for my Gerber Edge that I can't get anywhere else.

Also, unfortunately, ND Graphics recently purchased WRI Supply, I've been told they will remain separate companies for the next few years, but who knows.

Can't stand ND ...

Haven't purchased anything from them in over 4 years. Don't miss them one bit.

How does it compensate for parallax error, unintended perspective error or not being totally square to your subject?

ive tested it.
It actually works great. When it gets down to print files, i wouldn't use it for 100% accuracy - but more for quoting.

I just picked up one for $350 from someone who bought it and didn't use it. I have been using it for just a couple days and it works pretty good. I think there is definitely room for improvement. I was measuring a facade today and the portion that I needed to measure was about 15' ft off the ground. The Spike app measured it at 48" in height while the actually height was 51" so there was a 3" discrepancy. I think for general measurements it works great but if you are looking for exact measurements then pull a tape.
