what is this?

I so feel like I should have found this on first try, but I get close but not it. any help would be appreciated. this is the best copy I have of it from an existing sign that has v-grooved letters.

Possibly started out as Amerigo Bold.

thanks, looks like someone chopped up a font as it has some details in the serifs thata I can't find
