I tried to do some (quick) research on why... I couldn't find anything really. So I'm going to guess they did this to clearly separate the number of the station from the vehicle number? Just a guess.yep. I do work for a fire department related company and they do this all the time... ENG 24 INE and many others. I wonder if this is a traditional design that has some history with older fire trucks
