But for the uninitiated, it's an old Pauli & Griffin sandblaster. With more twists and turns than your lower GI, the excessive plumbing accommodates both an automatic inlet valve, and an automatic exhaust valve. They allow the operator to use a remote-control pneumatic switch at the end of the blast hose to operate it.

The part that looks like the transverse and descending colon serves no real purpose, other than to help purge the pot of pressure a bit quicker. Looks like they got a good deal on pipe though.

Newer technology has certainly blessed us with much more streamlined pressure pots. And for that I'm really thankful.
