Will my banners fail?

I'm installing a bunch of double sided mesh banners.

They will be mounted to a brick facade like the attached picture.

Sizes 10'x3' with 2 flat wall mounts with arms to hold the the tops and bottoms.
Ive done plenty of double sided mesh banners, with the pole kits, but nothing this large.

I have a strong feeling it's going to fail...and that the banner is too big for the poles....Is it too big? Can i add a 3rd pole mount, and hem another mini pocket in the middle of the banner to add extra support?

Thanks again for everyones time.

We have done some non-mesh three pole banners that have held up just fine. They were just 24" wide but again they were non-mesh. So far they are going on a year.

A 3 pole is way better indeed, since it is above walking traffic. yes 2 poles holding is fine with mesh but 30 sq.ft at is a big heavy & hurting sail when crashing down on someones head.

On a side note a downtown area a mile away has about 100 2x4 banners NON mesh up now about 9 mths ... 30% are down between poles breaking or banner sliding out also no cut slits.
These are low threat so no big deal ... but yours is 3 times the size

Another pole may not help much if the attachment will not hold up.

What is the stock banner post rated... then what is the attachment rated? I would beef up the attachment by making a custom one rather than add another weak attachment assuming it will hold. I would also reinforce the side with nylon or aircraft cable.

That's at a tricky spot. Being on a corner and such a shallow one at that...... you could be in between two wind tunnels at any given time or in a storm.

I would probably feel safest if I went completely through the wall and put a 1/4" or 1/2" plate on the inside behind all the bolts and use 1/2" all thread to do it.

Other than that.... it's a lot of guess work and that thing ain't gonna just blow down.... it will take off and go left or right sailing....... before falling on someone's head below.

4. Banner Saver Extra Large = Banners up to 30 Sq. Ft. # BH 2100

These are for light poles but there should be something similar out there for wall mounting.

I'd still be concerned about the mounting points.. two screws into brick aren't going to hold very well. You might consider a custom bracket that would have 4-6 screws. You could weld up a rigid mount using .125" wall tube and .25" plates pretty inexpensively that would be rock solid.

Im having a welder make a 6inx6in bracket with 6 screw holes along the top and sides. I think that'll work well

I have been given many jobs that require sleeve anchors with a two part adhesive that is injected into the wall. At that point you just have to be sure the brick is solid and in good shape or your likely to lose a brick with the sign pole.

A common brand name would be Red Head and are sold at Lowe's and some Home Depots but the length they have there is fairly limited and your better luck would be at a Fastenal or Grainger for the longer length anchors.
