Hi everyone,

I have an upcoming job for a box truck, but it won’t fit in my garage. I understand this isn’t the ideal scenario, so I’m wondering if it’s worth trying or if it would be better to pass on the job. If it is doable, any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

do you have anywhere indoors you can do it? we have a few customers who have large indoor bays we can use, we either pay them or give them really good pricing on their next few orders.

Around here, there are tons of RV storage buildings that are climate controlled. Not that you'd find an opening, or convince them to prorate rent for a couple of days.
Biggest tip, postpone until you have a day that is going to be 55-65F all day long, with no wind.

Do it in their garage? Or at their yard.

Safer than your parking lot. Mine anyways.

I have done a few of these outside. If you do outside make sure it is not too hot and hopefully have a shaded area. If it is too hot the vinyl stretches and your panels will not line up. There should be information from the manufacturer about the proper temperature range for application.

Check the weather! I almost never work outside but we are in Maryland, not far from you and the weather has been grand recently...
If you want to drive the truck to Maryland, we'll rent our shop to you over the weekend. 18 foot high door, 80 feet long (50 useable).

if it's not too cold yet where you are, 70s ish? you can get away with wrapping it outside. box trucks are pretty quick and easy.
