Need Help 1204 New printhead not printing

Hi everyone
Can anyone tell me if I leave the covering sheilds off the printhead and also the the end cover assy where the control panel and lever is will that parent the printer from printing because of spencers even though it goes through all the motions of printing with no error codes

Yes you can leave the shields off, i have them off both my printers.
