Are VP540 and VP540i Parts Interchangeable?

I have a running VP540i, and a chance to buy a doa VP540 for a few hundred bucks. Are the parts interchangeable?

Is it worthwhile to get the parts machine? The board is definitely doa.

yes they are interchangeable, the i designation just means it is internet capable.

Improvements in the "i" model:

Nothing at all to do with internet capability. Any printer with an ethernet port is internet capable.
